11/04/2026 | AMY ACTON WINS OHIO GOVERNOR’S RACE, PLEDGE TO SERVE ALL OHIOANS

Amy Acton has won Ohio’s gubernatorial race, defeating Republican Vivek Ramaswamy. The physician and former Ohio health director celebrated with supporters and said she would work to bring people together after a divisive campaign.

“I will be a governor for all Ohioans,” Acton said in her victory remarks, promising to work with people across the political aisle. She pointed to affordability and corruption as key issues, saying her administration would work to lower costs and help Ohioans build a better future.

Acton also highlighted the pressure many families face from grocery, gas, and utility bills. She said the campaign is over and called for a state government focused on residents’ needs.

NEWS327 founder Felix Maurent is calling on Acton to make judicial accountability one of her top priorities. “Ohio’s judicial system is broken, and serious concerns about schemes and misconduct within our court system need to be investigated. I am urging Governor-elect Acton to support a thorough, independent review and make sure credible allegations are examined,” Maurent said.
